What the Home dashboard is for
Portal Home (/client) is the first screen after you sign in. It summarizes what needs attention across domains, hosting, invoices, and tickets so you do not have to open every menu to spot problems. Think of it as a status board for your account—not a second storefront.
This guide explains each Home section and how to act on the alerts you see.
Who this guide is for
- New customers learning the portal after the first purchase
- Returning customers who want a quick daily check for renewals and unpaid invoices
- Anyone who saw a banner about email verification, FOA, or 2FA and needs context
Before you start
- Sign in so you land on Home.
- On a phone, open the menu to reach the same sidebar links referenced from Home cards.
- Optional: learn omnisearch for jumping to a specific domain or invoice—see How to use omnisearch in the portal.
What you see on Home
Greeting and lead
You see Hi, [name] and a short lead: manage domains, hosting, invoices, and support from one account. This confirms you are in the right console.
Needs attention
When something is urgent, Needs attention lists items such as:
- Unpaid invoices (You have an unpaid invoice. / plural count)
- Domains expiring soon ([domain] expires [date]. Renew it to keep the name.)
- Open support tickets count
- FOA prompts: Confirm the registrant email for [domain].
- Email verification: Verify your email… with Resend verification
- Security nudge: Turn on two-factor authentication… with Set up 2FA
These overlap with the Notices experience—see How to understand Notices.
Stats and product snapshots
Home may show quick stats for Domains, Hosting, Unpaid, and Open tickets, plus Your domains / Your hosting with View all links into the full lists under My products.
Empty state
If you have not purchased yet, product areas look empty. Use the storefront Domains or Hosting, or sidebar Store → Register a domain.
Step-by-step: use Home for a daily check
- Sign in and open Home.
- Resolve any verification or FOA banners first so mail and domain status stay healthy.
- If unpaid invoices appear, open Invoices and pay.
- If a domain is expiring, open that domain and use Renew 1 year or confirm Auto-renew—see How to renew a domain and manage auto-renew.
- If open tickets are listed, open Tickets and reply—see How to reply and track tickets.
- Optionally enable 2FA from the banner or Account—see How to enable or disable two-factor authentication.
What happens next / how to verify success
- Attention items clear after you pay, renew, verify, or close the ticket thread.
- Your products lists match what you expect under Domains and Hosting.
- No lingering FOA or verify banners after you complete those flows.
Common problems
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| Home empty but I paid | Confirm the checkout email matches this login; check Invoices |
| Attention item will not clear | Refresh after payment/FOA; wait a minute for status sync |
| Expiring domain already renewed | Open the domain page and confirm the new Expires date |
| Do not recognize a domain | You may have multiple accounts—search omnisearch or invoices for the name |
| Mobile cannot find Home | Use the menu; Home is the first My products link |
Frequently asked questions
Is Home the same as Notices?
Home surfaces attention items; Notices is the dedicated list of unpaid invoices, expiring domains, and FOA prompts. Both point to the same underlying issues.
Does Home show affiliate balance?
Affiliate details live under Billing → Affiliates, not the main Home stats.
Can I customize Home widgets?
No. The layout is fixed; use sidebar navigation and omnisearch for deep links.
Why does Home suggest 2FA?
Optional security hardening. You can dismiss by enabling it or ignore until you are ready.
