How to reply and track tickets
After you open a ticket, conversation continues in the same thread. The Tickets list lets you filter Open and Closed, sort by Updated, and jump into a Number to read staff replies. Your replies use Reply / Send. Keeping one thread per issue helps staff avoid duplicated work.
This guide covers list filters, replying well, and knowing when a ticket is finished.
Who this guide is for
- Customers waiting on staff answers
- Users who received an email that a ticket was updated
- Anyone with multiple open issues across domains and billing
Before you start
- Sign in → Tickets.
- Know your ticket Number if support referenced it.
- Prepare follow-up facts (new error text, payment reference) before replying.
- Use omnisearch if you remember part of the subject—see omnisearch.
Step-by-step: find a ticket
- Open Tickets.
- Choose filter Open, Closed, or All as available.
- Scan Number, Subject, Department, Updated.
- Open the thread you need.
Empty state: No tickets yet.—use Open a ticket first.
Step-by-step: reply
- Read the latest staff message carefully.
- Answer each question they asked.
- Enter text in Reply.
- Select Send.
- Confirm your message appears labeled You (staff appear as Staff).
If the ticket shows This ticket is closed., open a new ticket only for a new issue—or ask staff to reopen if your portal workflow supports it.
What happens next / how to verify success
- Updated timestamp changes after your reply.
- Staff respond in-thread; Home may show open ticket counts until closed.
- Closed tickets remain readable for history.
Common problems
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| Cannot find ticket | Clear filters; check Closed; omnisearch |
| Reply button missing | Ticket closed—open a new one referencing the old number |
| No staff reply yet | Allow business hours; add one polite follow-up with new facts only |
| Replied on wrong ticket | Note the mistake in the correct thread |
| Email notification missing | Check spam; portal thread is source of truth |

Staff on that department and you (and impersonating staff with banner if applicable).

Still need help?
If the thread UI errors, use Contact quoting the ticket number, and keep using Tickets for account-linked follow-up when possible.
